Position Overview The Commercial Electrical Director leads and grows our Commercial Electrical division. This role is responsible for overall performance—operations, financials, team leadership, and strategy—while making sure projects are delivered safely, on time, and done right. You'll work closely with leadership, field teams, and customers to drive success across the entire segment.
What You’ll Do
Lead and support all commercial electrical operations
Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and profitability goals
Own financial performance, budgets, and forecasting
Manage and develop a team of PMs, estimators, designers, and superintendents
Build strong relationships with customers, GCs, and internal teams
Drive growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Oversee scheduling, workflow, and team capacity
Support and promote Dave Jones safety culture and core values
Requirements
10+ years in electrical construction
5+ years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of commercial electrical work and project flow
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and performance
Strong communication and leadership skills
Valid driver's license
Education in construction or business is a plus, but experience matters most.
Physical & Work Requirements
Office‑based with time on active job sites
Ability to sit, stand, walk job sites, and navigate stairs/uneven ground
Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working around active construction environments
