
Proposal Writer/Senior Proposal Writer

What is the opportunity?
As a Proposal Writer or Senior Proposal Writer (experience dependent) you will work with the US proposal writing team to support business development and retention activities associated with our US Asset Management business. In this role you will expand your knowledge of investments while collaborating with Sales and Consultant Relations teams to respond to RFP/RFIs and close new business relationships for the firm.
What will you do?
Serve as a project manager for assigned questionnaires and proposals, completing to a high-quality standard within guidelines and by deadline
Work to deadlines to gather information from multiple sources across the firm and collaborate with subject matter experts and sales representatives
Adjust standard proposal verbiage to address specific questions or appeal to particular audiences; draft new content as needed and edit provided verbiage for clarity, narrative consistency, and writing mechanics
Ensure firm brand standards, applicable regulations/laws, and grammar conventions are met
Identify and own a content area within the RFP team, maintaining working relationships with related subject matter experts and capability specialists
Participate in the quality control process as a senior proposal content editor and proofreader
Assist the team in maintaining the content library within RocketDocs
Proactively support teammates and partners as a subject matter expert as needed
Support process improvement projects and other responsibilities as assigned
What do you need to succeed? Must‑have
Experience writing detailed business proposals or procedures and managing proposal-based work (Proposal Writer)
3+ years of proposal writing experience within an investment or wealth management firm (Senior Proposal Writer)
Exceptional English language skills in editing, writing, and verbal communication
Strong project management and stakeholder management
Ability to work in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
Preferred
Financial services industry experience
Pursuit of a CFA designation
Fixed‑income and/or alternative asset proposal writing experience

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000‑$95,000 for Minneapolis, and $60,500‑$104,500 for Boston, depending on experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
