The Loan Closing Specialist assists in the processing, closing, and administration of the Bank’s loans according to established regulations and procedures, and the servicing of highly complex loans.

• Prepare advances on construction loans. Review draw requests and follow guidelines for tracking budgets, insurance and lien waivers.
• Prepare advances for secured and unsecured Revolving Lines of Credit
• Prepare advances for commercial Real Estate loans for capital improvements, leasing commissions and tenant improvements.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve routine problems.
• Assist the receptionist, along with other department members in greeting customers and answering inquiries by phone.
• Prepare Consumer and Commercial Loan Documents in accordance with written loan approvals/commitments or instructions from Loan Officers. Assembles checks and verifies the accuracy and completion of all loan documentation necessary for loan closings and obtains signatures on all closing documents. Contact title companies, appraisers, insurance companies and other vendors to complete and ensure accurate loan file completion.
• Order, review, and evaluate title commitments, payoffs, flood determinations, and evidence of insurance coverage. Set and confirm closing dates and times with customers, lender, realtors and title companies.
• Contact insurance companies to obtain evidence of insurance
• Generate customer and realtor loyalty to the Bank by providing exceptional customer service and response
• Assist in all areas of the department managing workflow following established procedures.
• Answer inbound calls, schedule appointments and perform other general office duties to help in the overall smooth functioning of the department and the bank.
• Prepare, review, scan, classify and index loan documents using document imaging system.
• Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.
Requirements
Your Qualifications :
In depth knowledgeable regarding collateral perfection on various types of properties. (i.e. Deeds of Trust, Assignments, Commercial Security Agreement, UCC financing statements, Assignment of Contracts, Insurance Policies, Deposit accounts, Liquor licenses, Auto Titles)
Prior processing experience required; prior banking experience preferred
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to compose business correspondence and effectively present information to customers, superiors, and other employees
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to identify and analyze problems, set priorities, evaluate solutions and make decisions.
Computer skills required with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and the internet.
