
Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing & Training team. This role will create high‑impact content, expand our digital presence, and accelerate partner engagement through compelling, conversion‑focused marketing collateral. This is a hands‑on, execution‑driven position with a primary focus on B2B marketing (80%) supporting partner communications, campaigns and sales enablement, while the remaining 20% supports downstream homeowner‑facing digital content. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self‑directed, adaptable to shifting priorities and thrives in a performance‑driven environment.
Location Our Irvine or San Francisco, CA office.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute high‑impact digital marketing content and collateral to accelerate partner engagement and support revenue goals.
Own the creation of B2B marketing assets, including partner toolkits, one‑pages, sales decks, product/service overviews, case studies, training/support materials and event collateral.
Manage partner communications across email and digital channels, ensuring consistent messaging, brand alignment and timely delivery.
Build and optimise email campaigns and outreach programs, including segmentation, nurture journeys and performance testing (A/B testing, subject line/CTA optimisation).
Maintain and manage marketing calendars, campaign timelines and content pipelines; coordinate approvals and deliverables across internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, Training and Product/Operations teams to translate technical or program information into clear, compelling messaging for multiple audiences.
Develop and schedule social media and digital content to grow brand presence, improve engagement and support campaigns (organic and paid where applicable).
Support homeowner‑facing digital content (20%) by creating consumer‑friendly messaging for web, social and email that drives awareness and conversion.
Support website and landing page updates, working within CMS/CRM tools to publish content and ensure accuracy, usability and basic SEO best practices.
Produce and/or coordinate graphic and video development, including brief creation, creative direction, editing and final asset delivery using Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools.
Track and report on campaign performance (email, web, social), providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement, lead flow and conversion.
Maintain brand standards across all deliverables; ensure consistency in voice, visuals and messaging across partner and consumer touchpoints.
Manage vendor relationships as needed (freelance designers, videographers, printers, agencies) to deliver creative assets on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Marketing, Communications & Brand Management
3+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, communications, public relations or brand management.
Proven ability to plan and execute integrated campaigns aligned to business goals and partner needs.
Strong track record translating technical or complex information into clear, compelling messaging for multiple stakeholder audiences.
Demonstrated success collaborating cross‑functionally with sales, leadership, subject matter experts and external partners to deliver high‑quality marketing outputs.
Experience maintaining brand standards and ensuring consistent voice and visuals across digital, print and event channels.
Email Marketing & Outreach
2+ years of experience managing email marketing campaigns and outreach programs for diverse B2B audiences.
Hands‑on experience building segmentation strategies, nurture journeys and lifecycle campaigns that support lead generation and pipeline growth.
Proficiency in testing and optimisation (A/B testing, performance analysis, iteration) to improve open rates, click‑through rates and conversions.
Working knowledge of deliverability best practices, list hygiene, consent management and compliance standards.
Ability to align email/outreach efforts with campaign calendars, events, product launches and sales initiatives.
B2B & Industry Experience
Demonstrated success in a B2B marketing environment with measurable impact on lead generation, partner engagement and/or revenue growth.
Experience in solar, clean energy, renewables, infrastructure or manufacturing preferred.
Ability to support marketing in industries with technical offerings, long sales cycles and regulatory considerations.
Digital Content & Media
Proven ability to develop and execute digital content strategies across email, web, social and paid channels.
Strong copywriting capability across formats, including landing pages, campaign messaging, partner communications and case studies.
Experience producing or coordinating graphic and video content, from concept through final asset delivery.
Ability to use engagement and performance data to refine content strategy and improve results.
Marketing Technology & Creative Tools
Hands‑on experience with CMS and CRM/marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar).
Experience building workflows, managing contact databases and producing campaign reporting and performance insights.
Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) to develop and refine marketing assets.
Comfort quickly adopting new tools and technology to improve marketing efficiency and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of solar industry experience.
Direct experience developing marketing brochures, websites, flyers.
Background in B2B × C sales environments and partner engagement models.
Marketing certification, Adobe Illustrator/design background or related accreditation.
