Job Description The Senior Manager, TEBG Global Channel Customer Incentive Plan, serves as a strategic leader shaping how the Transportation & Electronics Business Group (TEBG) accelerates growth through its global channel ecosystem. In this role you will champion the development of high‑impact Customer Incentive Plan (CIP) programs and Go‑To‑Market (GTM) strategies that elevate channel partner performance, unlock new market opportunities, and create a consistent, world‑class experience across all regions and vertical markets. This position offers the opportunity to influence global strategy, collaborate with a broad network of cross‑functional experts, and drive initiatives that directly fuel TEBG’s growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

Customer Incentive Plan (CIP) Management: Lead the development, optimization, and governance of CIP programs. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and Commercial Excellence & Operations to ensure alignment with global channel standards, financial validation, documentation requirements, and overall CIP performance. Provide strategic guidance by vertical, share best practices, serve as global CIP designer, manage CIP tools, oversee change requests in Salesforce.com, validate milestones, support Market Development Fund (MDF) guidelines, and maintain CIP templates.

Channel Go‑to‑Market Strategy: Partner with area channel teams to design and execute global channel strategies that expand market reach, enhance efficiency, reduce cost‑to‑serve, and drive revenue growth. Contribute to pricing and product listing strategy, and tool development that generates insights for channel optimization.

Channel Policy: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, and Operations on the creation and implementation of channel policies. Provide guidance on policies that impact incentive programs and operational processes, including payment frequency, holds, minimum thresholds, demand planning, capacity implications, drop shipping, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and freight practices.

Channel Partner Coverage: Work with cross‑functional teams to assess channel partner coverage by region and TEBG vertical. Collaborate with regional channel teams to identify opportunities to expand or rationalize partner networks to support strategic growth priorities.

Training and Support: Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to channel partners and internal teams to ensure effective adoption of GTM strategies, CIP tools, and processes. Identify capability gaps and develop training plans to enhance channel performance.

Budget Management: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting processes to evaluate CIP effectiveness and return on investment. Provide insights and recommendations to improve program performance. Oversee the global CIP budget and ensure optimal allocation of resources to maximize impact.

Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Ten (10) years of experience in channel, business, or sales, and/or marketing roles within private, public, government, or military environments.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master’s of Business Administration

Industry Experience: Fifteen (15) years of experience and familiarity with best practices in the B2B distribution industry.

Strong knowledge of reporting systems (e.g. accrual reports, CIP payments, sales)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions using modern analytical software tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑team collaboration, with the ability to thrive in a global, cross‑functional setting and manage multiple projects at once.

Work Location Maplewood, MN – onsite

Travel May include up to 20% domestic/international.
