
Commercial Escrow Officer

Are you a motivated and resourceful individual with a passion for real estate? We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Escrow Officer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of professionals in a fast-paced environment, working together to provide top-tier service to our commercial clients nationwide.
How You Will Contribute:
Establish escrow accounts and act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents.
Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with the terms of the contract and our company policy.
Determine closing requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
Establish escrow account by depositing funds; maintaining records.
Prepare transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents.
Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction.
Complete calculations by prorating taxes and interest.
Complete closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
Complete closing by recording and filing (or confirming the recordation and filing of) documents, prepare settlement statements utilizing lender instructions and in accordance with established policies and procedures, and distribute final closing statements and title.
Close escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds.
Comply with regulatory requirements and company policy by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Use technical bulletins and other resources to evaluate and resolve problems.
Collaborate with other members of the commercial team.
Requirements:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the title/escrow field.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Depth of experience in the escrow industry, preferably at least 3 years.
Detail oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
Ability to juggle many duties and meet multiple deadlines.
High level of stress tolerance and emotional resilience; ability to maintain an even disposition in the face of conflict or in a crisis.
Strong energy and drive; self-starting, strong work ethic and work habits, accountable for one's own actions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with co-workers and the parties to the transaction.
Ability to produce a high volume of work accurately on a consistent basis.
Good team player; willing to reach out to other staff to assist; willing to accept help from others when needed.
Office-based in
Flowood , MS.
Occasional overtime may be required to meet transaction deadlines.
