Head Golf Professional Location: The Country Club of the South, Johns Creek, Georgia
The Country Club of the South is seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Professional to oversee and enhance the overall golf experience for our members and guests. The Head Golf Professional will play a pivotal role in managing daily golf operations, coordinating events, and ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the Pro Shop, including merchandise sales, tee time reservations, and member services.
Maintain inventory levels, coordinate merchandise displays, and ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.
Manage the tee sheet and coordinate tee times to optimize course utilization.
Monitor the pace of play and implement strategies to ensure an efficient and enjoyable golf experience.
Plan and execute golf events, tournaments, and outings, coordinating with the Director of Instruction and F&B team as needed.
Communicate with participants, handle registrations, and ensure smooth event logistics.
Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
Foster a customer-centric culture among staff and maintain high service standards.
Supervise and train Pro Shop staff, starters, and rangers.
Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and events.
Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure seamless coordination between golf operations and course maintenance.
Monitor and enforce golf course policies and rules.
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring financial targets are met.
Track revenue and expenses related to golf operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in golf operations management or a related role.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of golf industry trends, rules, and etiquette.
