This SEO Senior Manager is a strategic and technical role responsible for the end-to-end execution of organic search and content strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries. This individual serves as the primary technical architect and client-facing consultant, bridging the gap between complex data analysis and actionable business growth. The role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, technical website architecture, and the ability to communicate sophisticated SEO concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Client Management

Portfolio Oversight: Manage SEO strategy for multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables align with specific industry benchmarks and unique business goals.

Client Presentation: Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, translating technical metrics into "plain language" narratives that demonstrate ROI and strategic value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with content, web development, and paid media teams to ensure a holistic approach to digital visibility and user experience.

Technical SEO and Auditing

Comprehensive Audits: Perform deep-dive technical audits focusing on crawlability, indexability, site speed (Core Web Vitals), and mobile-first optimization.

Schema and Structured Data: Implement and manage advanced schema markup to enhance SERP presence through rich snippets and improved entity recognition.

Site Migrations: Provide technical oversight for website migrations, ensuring the preservation of organic equity through meticulous redirect mapping and post-launch validation.

Content Strategy and On-Page Optimization

Keyword Intelligence: Conduct advanced keyword research and competitive gap analysis to identify high-intent opportunities across the marketing funnel.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Analyze user behavior data to recommend on-page adjustments that improve task completion and lead generation.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Performance Tracking: Utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and third-party tools (e.g., Semrush) to monitor organic health.

Custom Reporting: Build and maintain automated, interactive dashboards using Looker Studio to provide real-time visibility into KPIs.

Algorithm Monitoring and AI Expertise: Stay abreast of search engine updates and emerging trends, such as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-driven search behaviors.

Analytics: Advanced knowledge of GA4 configuration, event tracking, and data interpretation.

Required Technical Skills and Qualifications: Experience and Education

Professional Background: The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment managing multiple accounts.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field is preferred.

Remote Work Requirements

Location: This is a remote role with the majority of team members located in the Winston‑Salem, NC area. Must reside in the United States (Eastern or Central time zones preferred for client alignment).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.
