Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Strong hands‑on experience with
Netskope
and other modern security platforms (e.g., Zscaler, Menlo Security).
Deep understanding of engineering workflows, including the use of tools like IDEs (e.g., VS Code, IntelliJ), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of package management systems (e.g., npm, pip, Maven) and their security implications.
Proficiency in managing security policies for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and developer‑focused SaaS tools.
Development and End‑User Computing Knowledge
Familiarity with how security policies impact day‑to‑day engineering productivity, including integration with tools like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
Understanding DevSecOps principles and how to embed security into developer workflows without introducing bottlenecks.
Experience working in hybrid or remote workforce environments, supporting distributed engineering teams.
Security and Compliance Knowledge
Knowledge of secure software development practices, including policies for managing open‑source dependencies and third‑party libraries.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) as they relate to development workflows.
Ability to create policies that mitigate risks while enabling flexibility for innovation and experimentation.
Collaboration and Communication
Strong communication skills to explain technical policies to engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders in a clear and collaborative manner.
Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with teams across engineering, IT, and security.
Preferred Certifications
Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator (NCCSA) or related certifications.
Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or similar certifications.
Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or related credentials.
Developer‑related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Kubernetes certifications) are a plus.
Experience
Previous experience as a security engineer, DevOps engineer, or policy writer supporting software development teams.
Experience managing policies for hybrid or multi‑cloud environments tailored to engineering workflows.
Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline policy management and enforcement.
Salary Range Salary Range: $38,000 - $120,000 a year
