About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Museum Development to spearhead the planning and execution of strategic fundraising efforts. This role is pivotal in supporting the museum's current programming and ambitious plans for a significant capital project and expanded activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising and donor engagement, with a focus on cultivating major and principal gifts. The ideal Executive Director will have a proven track record in philanthropic program leadership, at least 10 years' of experience in a similar role, and a deep commitment to the arts. They must be adept at leading a comprehensive advancement program, possess outstanding organizational and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve fundraising goals.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should be experienced, senior advancement professionals with a strong background in fundraising, campaign oversight, and program leadership. The role requires a champion of the arts who embodies the institutional values of honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility. The Executive Director will work closely with the Museum Board of Governors and the Director of the Museum to identify and leverage opportunities for philanthropic support.
