This is a full-time, on-site position in Santa Barbara, California. Note:

Must have prior law firm experience and ties to the local area, including Santa Barbara, Goleta, or Carpinteria. Experience in wills, trusts, estates, probate, or trust administration is strongly preferred, but not required. Job Description Support attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related matters Schedule, coordinate, and prepare attorneys for client meetings Communicate with clients, financial institutions, courts, recorder’s offices, assessor’s offices, and other third parties to gather information and keep matters moving Assist with trust administrations, probate matters, and other estate-related files in an organized and timely manner Draft correspondence, legal documents, and templates for attorney review Assist with the preparation of estate and gift tax returns Perform basic legal research as needed Maintain hard copy and electronic client files, records, and contact information Help attorneys stay ahead of deadlines, client needs, and matter-related issues Build strong relationships with clients and provide a high level of professional service Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy law firm environment Qualifications Prior experience working in a law firm required Paralegal experience required Experience in wills, trusts, estates, probate, or trust administration strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and professional client-facing ability Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office required Experience with CARET or similar law firm management and billing software preferred Paralegal certificate preferred California Notary Public certification preferred Why You Will Love Working Here Supportive, team-driven culture with a healthy work-life balance Opportunity to do meaningful, high-quality legal work in a respected practice Mentoring, training programs, lunch seminars, and ongoing development Competitive benefits package including 401(k), matching, profit sharing, health coverage, HSA, PTO, and professional development assistance A firm that values its people as much as its clients
