Key Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine scope of work Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs Solicit and review bids from vendors and subcontractors Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during pre-construction phases Maintain and update cost databases and historical data Prepare and present bid proposals and supporting documentation Monitor project costs and assist with budget tracking during construction
