Leidos is seeking a Jr. Systems Integrator who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Orleans, LA.

The Jr. Systems Integrator will provide frontline support for business‑critical applications running on Linux platforms. This role is ideal for an early‑career technologist with a strong technical foundation who is interested in both application support and gaining experience in software development. This position requires a self‑motivated individual capable of performing in a fast‑paced development environment, as well as interacting effectively with key customers and users.

Location:

This position is Remote. Occasional after‑hours support or on‑call rotations as needed

Responsibilities:

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues for applications running on Linux-based systems.

Respond to user tickets, triage issues, and provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders.

Perform basic log analysis, error investigation, and incident documentation.

Work with senior engineers and developers to elevate and resolve complex issues.

Support deployments, configuration changes, and routine maintenance activities.

Contribute to knowledge base articles, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Participate in occasional after‑hours support or on‑call rotations as needed

Assist with small enhancements, scripting, or bug fixes under the guidance of senior developers.

Learn and contribute to automation scripts, tools, or dashboards used for monitoring and support.

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to grow software engineering skills.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field with 0‑2 years of experience.

Development experience with one or more of the following: .Net, Java, Python, or similar language.

Proficiency with Linux (e.g., using the command line, file system navigation, editing configuration files, checking logs, managing services).

Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and client‑server applications.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow established processes and procedures.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash) or another scripting language (Python, etc.).

Exposure to version control (e.g., Git) and basic software development practices.

Experience with monitoring tools or log aggregation tools.
