Executive Director (nonprofit)
The Robinson/Diamond Resource Group, Rockwall, TX, United States
Executive Director
Garland/Rockwall - (Hybrid)
We are engaged in a search for a nonprofit leadership role that’s a little different than most. This isn’t a maintenance role. It’s a
build, grow, and lead
opportunity.
The organization is established, respected, and mission-driven—focused on child advocacy—but like many nonprofits right now, the real lever is
funding, visibility, and leadership alignment .
Where this role stands out This is not just operational oversight.
This is a
fundraising-forward Executive Director role .
They have:
A committed Board
A solid team (10 staff)
An active volunteer base
A meaningful presence in the community
What they need is the right leader to push it forward.
What you’re not comfortable with?
Leading donor conversations
Driving grant strategy
Expanding funding streams
Partnering with a Board on development
This won’t be the right fit.
But if you are—this is where it gets interesting.
What you’d actually be doing
Leading the organization day-to-day while keeping a clear strategic direction
Acting as the primary voice in the community and with key stakeholders
Working directly with the Board on growth, funding, and direction
Building and strengthening donor, foundation, and community relationships
Supporting and leading a small, committed team and volunteer network
The profile that works here
Nonprofit leadership experience (or senior-level ready to step up)
Strong exposure to
fundraising, grants, and donor development
Comfortable being both
visible externally and accountable internally
Someone who can balance mission, people, and financial reality
Someone who can be the face of the organization in media events.
Why this is worth a conversation
The mission is real
The platform is already in place
The next phase depends heavily on leadership
If this sounds like something you’d at least be open to hearing more about, I’d welcome a quick, iconversation.
