Advertised Job Summary:

The Supplier Analyst performs and manages domestic tax accounting, domestic and international tax compliance, and supplier setup, maintenance, and analysis. In addition, the Supplier Analyst is a resource for and provides satisfactory customer service to departments and suppliers.

Job Related Minimum Required Education And Experience:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting and tax. Knowledge or demonstrated ability to understand and research state sales and use tax codes. Knowledge or demonstrated ability to understand accounts payable and purchase orders. Knowledge or demonstrated ability to understand ERP systems. Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge or ability to improve process.

Manage the maintenance and analysis of all University suppliers. Perform routine maintenance of suppliers that have an expired W-8 on file.

Review Financial Sanctions Validation Log and analyze suppliers to determine the required action (e.g., validate or block supplier).

Job Duty:

Assist in analyzing all TIN match errors and work with the department and/or supplier to come to a resolution within 5 days of the TIN match error being determined.

Reviews, analyzes and evaluates existing policies, programs, plans, systems, operations, procedures and documents to develop improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and productivity; assists in developing program performance standards.
