Chicago Program Director - Youth Development

True Lacrosse Foundation, Chicago, IL, United States


The True Lacrosse Foundation is seeking a Chicago Program Director to lead our after-school lacrosse and academic programming across partner schools in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago.

This is a fully in-person leadership role responsible for managing daily program operations, mentoring student-athletes, and supervising staff across multiple sites.

Program Sites

Austin College & Career Academy

Duke K. Ellington School

All sites are located within approximately one block of each other.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee after-school programming with consistency and professionalism

Coach and mentor student-athletes

Supervise and support coaches, staff, and volunteers

Manage scheduling, logistics, and daily operations

Build relationships with school administrators and partners

Ensure consistent program implementation and quality

Track attendance, documentation, and incident reporting

Support data collection and program evaluation

Uphold all safety protocols and organizational standards

Schedule & Compensation

Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (in-person)

Additional flexible virtual/administrative hours as needed

$25–$35 per hour, based on experience

Required Qualifications

3+ years of lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience

Experience managing classrooms, student groups, or after-school programs

Experience leading staff or programs in a school, nonprofit, or athletic setting

Strong organizational and leadership ability

High level of accountability and professionalism

Ability to problem-solve in real time

Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in school-based or after-school programming

Experience working in underserved communities

Nonprofit or program operations experience

Experience with data tracking or reporting
