SENIOR MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor plays a critical role in managing home equity lines of credit, purchase, and refinance transactions. This position involves a thorough examination and evaluation of client applications, ensuring loans are processed and closed efficiently. Candidates must be compliant with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (Safe Act) and hold a registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, or be eligible to register. Maintaining compliance with the Safe Act is essential.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Review loan approvals and determine necessary documentation for closing.
Promptly communicate and respond to internal stakeholders within two hours.
Manage and prioritize daily workflow using pipeline reports effectively.
Conduct reviews of all loans at least every three days.
Handle an individual pipeline of 30-50 loans efficiently.
Stay updated on company guidelines and loan programs.
Achieve and exceed monthly funding goals as outlined by management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications High School Diploma.
A minimum of three years of recent experience in the mortgage industry.
At least three years of experience with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (Safe Act) is required, including registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, or eligibility to register.
Additional Qualifications Proven ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Capacity to maintain high performance levels, especially under pressure.
Solid understanding of federal and state regulatory guidelines (TRID experience required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Loan Origination systems.
This role is based in the NYC metro area. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting hourly wage: $25.93 - $41.43. Compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for bonuses and commission.
