Operations & Real Estate Intern
Atlasa, San Francisco, CA, United States
Most internships have you making decks no one reads. This one puts you inside real $1M–$40M transactions, working directly with a small, high-caliber team at one of SF's most interesting real estate businesses.
Atlasa is the Bay Area's only data-driven real estate brokerage, founded by a Stanford MS/BS CS engineer and ex-LinkedIn product leader — Forbes Real Estate Council contributor, and active angel investor. We've been featured in the NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, ABC, and NBC. Our clients include senior executives and employees from Google, Apple, Amazon, Tesla, OpenAI, Robinhood, and Cognition to name a few.
We're lean by design. That means real responsibility from week one, not busywork. We're not looking for perfect — we're looking for sharp, curious, and reliable. Someone who takes ownership, moves fast, and genuinely cares about doing things well.
The Real Estate Part We take the real estate side seriously because our clients do. The Bay Area market is one of the most complex in the world, and we help buyers and sellers navigate it with institutional-grade data and analysis normally reserved for billion-dollar funds. You'll learn how this market actually works: pricing dynamics, disclosure analysis, offer strategy, vendor relationships. You'll be in the room — and the properties — where decisions get made.
The AI Part — Hard Requirement We're an AI-first team and everyone on it works that way. You'll use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and data tools daily — not occasionally. We use AI to analyze market data, draft communications, streamline operations, and move faster than our competition. If you're already doing this naturally, great. If not, this probably isn't the right fit. You don't just "use" AI: you audit it. You have the critical thinking skills to spot hallucinations or inaccuracies in AI-generated data summaries before they ever reach a client.
What You'll Do
Support day-to-day operations: transactions, listings, vendors, inspectors, client communications
Attend showings, open houses, and property inspections around SF
car required
Analyze and summarize complex property disclosure packages for clients
Coordinate calendars, logistics, and follow-ups across the team
Build and improve workflows using AI tools — and proactively suggest better ones
Support marketing materials, CRM management, and social content
Take on special projects as they come up
Research, plan, and produce data-driven real estate content to engage buyers and sellers
Monitor key performance indicators and report findings to the team
What This Role Actually Feels Like Some weeks are steady and calm. Others are full-on — evenings, weekend showings, last-minute requests. Real estate doesn't follow a 9-to-5, and we don't pretend it does. That's why this role is hourly: we want to be fair and transparent about the pace.
What stays constant: the standard. Our clients are making some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, and every interaction needs to reflect that. Being organized and on top of things isn't a preference here; it's the baseline. If you're the kind of person who notices what's about to fall through the cracks before it does, you'll thrive here. You are someone who handles feedback well, is open to sharing insights, and doesn't need constant oversight—you take a critique and pivot immediately.
Who You Are
Based in or near SF with
reliable access to a car
— this role moves around the city
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (junior/senior preferred) or Master’s degree. While we prefer Business, Econ, or CS, we care more about how you think than your major—though a strong academic record is a must
Genuinely airtight when it comes to organization — real systems, zero dropped balls
Already using AI tools to do your work better — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, pick your tool
A clear, professional communicator in writing and in person
Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel and G Suite
Curious about real estate, data, or what it looks like to run a lean high-performance business
Excellent analytical skills and a curious ability to uncover answers and synthesize findings into clear reports
High level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion. You'll be handling sensitive client and transaction information
You know how to maintain an executive-level presence over text and email—balancing speed with high-stakes professionalism
You are the person who stays "on top of it" even when the team is in different time zones. You take pride in being the single point of failure and ensuring nothing drops
Possess a high 'working memory' for client details and property facts
What You Get
$22–$25/hr depending on experience, paid for all hours worked
Real exposure to SF luxury real estate and how a data-driven, AI-native business operates
Direct access to a founder-led team with deep roots in Stanford, LinkedIn, and top SF tech
For truly exceptional performers: a path to full‑time after graduation — this has happened before, but it's rare and earned, not promised
Genuinely exciting and fun working environment
Work from a great office space in SF
To Apply Send your resume + answers to these three questions (140 words max each) to operations@atlasa.com
Walk us through how you manage a week when everything is competing for your attention. What's your actual system?
Give a specific example of using AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to do something better or faster than you otherwise would have. Be concrete.
What is it about Atlasa — or real estate more broadly — that actually interests you?
This is a paid, part-time, non-exempt hourly internship. Compensation meets or exceeds San Francisco and California minimum wage requirements. All California labor laws apply, including daily overtime (1.5x after 8 hours/day), meal breaks (30 min after 5 hours worked), and rest breaks (10 min per 4 hours worked).
