We’re hiring a Community Recreation Center Attendant to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary: Operate Front Desk and POS register. Responsible for the overall cleanliness and look of the Recreation Center.

The Details:

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay: $15.85 per hour

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Operate Front Desk and POS register according to Recreation Center procedures and policy.

Assist with events and activities lead by Attendants.

Responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness of the Recreation Center by performing custodial duties including, but not limited to lifting, sweeping, disposing of waste, and vacuuming.

Assist with programming events and activities directed by Rec Center Mgr/Asst Mgr.

Open and close the Recreation Center as scheduled according to procedure.

Always presents a professional appearance and attitude and maintains a high standard of customer service.

Maintain inventory and record use of equipment and supplies.

Assist in enforcing Recreation Center policies to the patrons.

Adhere to all safety and risk management policies, including wearing required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of weight and fitness equipment use, and repair preferred.

Ability to acquire CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.

Ability to acquire Food handling certification within 30 days of hire.

Experience with cash handling and the ability to acquire Cash Handling certification within 30 days of hire.

Ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and comply with the company Driver Safety Program.

Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task.

Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, as well as social media platforms.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently.

Knowledge and experience with Word and email programs.

Ability to work various schedules including holidays, weekends, day and evening shifts.

Physical Requirements Constantly: Stand, walk handle, lift/carry up to 10lbs, push/pull up to 12lbs.

Frequently: Reach, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 20lbs, push/pull up to 25lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, climb, lift/carry up to 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
