This is a scale role: repeatable sourcing + fast activation, not bespoke consulting.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Sourcing & Qualification (Amazon-first ICP)

Build a repeatable pipeline (communities, agencies, events, outbound) and qualify merchants by DTC readiness, catalog quality, brand authorization, margins, and fulfillment constraints.

Offer & Commercial Negotiation

Close merchants using standardized terms (take rate, MAP, returns/SLA, allowed channels). Use templates by default; elevate exceptions only when GMV/margin justifies.

Drive end-to-end onboarding: catalog ingestion, brand authorization/compliance readiness, content readiness, price/MAP settings, inventory sync, MCF/FBA routing, and go-live checklist to achieve first GMV fast.

Merchant Success Playbook (Scale, not Consulting)

Execute a standardized 30/60-day activation playbook (no bespoke consulting): drive SKU coverage, content readiness, and early repeatable wins to lift activation + retention.

Supply Pool Governance

Maintain supply quality & controllability: compliance checks, brand assets, MAP enforcement, dispute/returns exceptions and escalation, and removal of low-quality supply when needed.

Feedback Loop to Product/Growth

Convert merchant objections and onboarding friction into product requirements; partner with Growth to improve merchant-to-GMV conversion.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in e-commerce merchant acquisition, strategic account management, or platform business development.

Proven track record of proactively "hunting" and converting high-quality brand partners or sellers from established digital ecosystems.

Strong access to US/cross-border seller ecosystems (communities, agencies, aggregators, service providers); able to build pipeline through both network and structured outbound.

Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret seller performance metrics into actionable business growth strategies.

Comfortable running high-volume onboarding and activation cycles with standardized SOPs.

Self-motivated, high-resilience mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes tech startup environment.

Ability to model unit economics for off-Amazon orders (payment fees, MCF fees, returns, margin) and communicate trade-offs clearly.

Experience working with brand authorization, MAP policies, and channel governance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Amazon seller-facing programs (e.g., SAS, agencies, aggregators) or merchant acquisition teams (TikTok Shop/Temu) is a plus.

Strong reputation within US or cross-border e-commerce seller communities with a history of sourcing and scaling multi-million dollar merchant partnerships.

Deep familiarity with the independent store landscape, including the ability to articulate the strategic advantages of Genstore AI over traditional SaaS tools.

Experience in market exploration and marketing innovation with the capability to lead high-level merchant success plans.

Familiarity with Amazon SP-API / MCF concepts, Buy Box implications of pricing, and seller operational metrics.
