Overview
Arcola Country Club is seeking a motivated and service-driven Assistant Golf Professional to join its professional staff. This individual will play an important role in the daily execution of golf operations while contributing to an exceptional member and guest experience through tournaments, instruction, merchandising initiatives, and player development programming.
This position offers a collaborative team environment with responsibilities and leadership opportunities commensurate with experience. Experienced candidates may assume significant ownership in tournament administration, staff leadership, and operational planning, while developing professionals will receive structured mentorship and progressive responsibility as they grow within the role.
Experience Required
PGA Associate or PGA Member in good standing preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for hospitality, service excellence, and member engagement
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Leadership ability or demonstrated leadership potential
Desire to build a long-term career in golf
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in the daily management of golf operations including tee sheet oversight, pace of play, and member service standards
Lead or assist in tournament and event administration, with opportunities to serve as primary Tournament Director for select events based on experience
Coordinate and execute member golf events, leagues, and outside outings
Support the development and implementation of junior golf programs and player development initiatives
Provide private instruction, group clinics, and club fitting services
Assist in merchandising operations including product receival, merchandising displays, and special orders
Build strong relationships with members through daily interaction and playing opportunities
Assist with training and supervision of outside service personnel
Support golf shop operations including POS transactions, opening/closing procedures, and daily financial responsibilities
