Official Job Description About the Role A growth-stage embedded lending technology company powers a small business funding marketplace, connecting business owners with the right capital through a modern, tech-driven platform. We’re looking for a Funding Advisor to join our team and help small business owners secure the funding they need to grow. This is a sales role at its core — you’ll be converting inbound applicants into funded deals by guiding them through every step of the process, from initial application to closing. What sets this role apart from traditional lending sales positions is the technology behind you. The company’s platform gives Funding Advisors access to AI agents, automations, and purpose-built tools designed to help you work smarter, move deals through the pipeline faster, and fund more deals. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, know how to build trust quickly over the phone, and have a background in alternative lending, this could be a great fit. What You’ll Do As a Funding Advisor, you own the full lifecycle of a deal. You’ll work a primarily inbound pipeline of small business owners who have applied for funding, while also re-engaging aged leads from our existing database to generate additional opportunities. Your day-to-day will include conducting discovery calls to understand each applicant’s business needs, collecting required documentation, coordinating with underwriting to move files through review, placing deals with the right lending partners, and presenting offers in a way that makes sense for the borrower. Once an offer is accepted, you’ll shepherd the deal through closing until funds are disbursed. This means you’ll be managing multiple deals at various stages simultaneously, coordinating across internal teams — underwriting, automations, and product — as well as with external lending partners. You need to be someone who can keep a high volume of plates spinning without letting details slip through the cracks. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of sales experience in alternative finance or a closely related space. You understand the mechanics of small business lending products and can speak to them credibly. Beyond product knowledge, we need someone who is genuinely skilled at selling over the phone and email — someone who can establish rapport quickly, run a sharp discovery call, and position funding offers in a way that resonates with business owners. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new systems fast. You’ll be working across multiple internal platforms daily, and the ability to pick things up without a long ramp is important. We also value people who communicate clearly and proactively, since this role requires constant coordination with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Key Qualifications • 3+ years of sales experience in alternative finance, merchant cash advance, SBA lending, or a related field • Proven track record of closing deals and hitting quota in a high-volume sales environment • Strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport and conduct effective discovery • Comfortable selling via both phone and email • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously • Quick learner who can adapt to new systems, processes, and products • Excellent communication skills for coordinating across internal teams and external lending partners • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic — you don’t wait to be told what to do We offer a full benefits package including health insurance, dental coverage, 401(k), and stock options.
