Account Executive
Fulcrum, Minneapolis, MN, United States
Our mission is clear and staggeringly important: we're building the manufacturing operating system of the future from the ground up, one that’s engineered to create network effects as we grow. A beautiful, sophisticated quantum leap forward for the most important core industry in the world.
Manufacturing is important. It’s the fundamental industry on which everything else is built. We take it for granted. In 1989, 35% of the entire software industry was manufacturing systems. What was the first massive burst in productivity from technology has stagnated into diminishing returns and increasing complexity. We can only continue to add complexity for so much longer until the whole system collapses.
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."
Who You Are
Relentlessly curious about how businesses actually work and where they break
Comfortable selling complex solutions into organizations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Persuasive without being performative; you focus on substance, not theatrics
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, imperfect information, and evolving products
Direct and honest, you surface risks, push back when needed, and focus on winning the right deals
Coachable and constantly refining how you sell
Experienced in startup environments where speed, ownership, and accountability are expected
You have 8+ years of experience closing complex deals and selling into manufacturing, supply chain, or similarly operational industries
What The Job Is
Own deals end-to-end from first conversation through close
Run disciplined pipelines with clear next steps, accurate forecasting, and real accountability
Sell into complex organizations where buying decisions involve multiple departments including C-level executives and business owners
Lead discovery that uncovers real operational problems and connects them to measurable outcomes
Generate and develop your own pipeline when needed through cold calling
Maintain deal momentum by driving next steps, aligning stakeholders, and navigating internal buying processes
What Success Looks Like
You take ownership of your pipeline and consistently move deals forward
Your pipeline is clean, accurate, and reflects real deal progress
You drive urgency in deals by aligning stakeholders, clarifying problems, and guiding the buying process
You build credibility with manufacturing leaders by understanding their operations and challenges
You generate pipeline when needed rather than waiting for opportunities
You consistently hit or exceed your targets while maintaining high standards in how you sell
Salary Range & Benefits

401(k) matching after 90 days - immediate vesting

This role is open to candidates located in the U.S. and authorized to work here. We’re not able to offer visa sponsorship or consider international applicants at this time.
The market tells us we’re on the right track: +50% year over year growth but we know to not rest on our laurels and that there's a lot of stuff to build and a huge amount of work to be done. We're looking for people who can stand alongside us and work hard to make our dreams become reality in the fastest, smoothest, and best way possible.
If you're someone who is obsessed with making amazing things, being the best, and wanting your work to contribute to something excellent, please reach out.
