Position Summary The SPS Commerce Sales Internship is a 12-week paid program designed for students who want hands‑on exposure to SaaS sales and a clearer understanding of what a sales career can look like. As a sales intern, you’ll learn foundational sales skills, contribute to real work, and gain insight into how sales teams create value for customers. You’ll be fully integrated into Team SPS and supported by experienced sales professionals who are invested in your learning and growth. By the end of the summer, you’ll have a stronger understanding of SaaS sales, increased confidence in professional settings, and a clearer sense of your own strengths and interests.

What You’ll Learn and Do

Learn the fundamentals of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales and how sales teams operate day to day.

Research prospective customers and their business environments to support outreach and opportunity development.

Ask thoughtful questions to better understand customer needs and challenges.

Use sales tools like Salesforce and Gong to track activity and share updates accurately.

Learn how to navigate and respond to common customer objections.

Apply time management and organization strategies to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Build familiarity with SPS products, solutions, and go‑to‑market messaging.

Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders.

Location This role follows a hybrid work model, with regular in‑office presence required at our Minneapolis office.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a four‑year bachelor’s degree (Junior or Senior standing).

Interest in sales, business, or customer‑facing roles.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in customer‑facing, team‑based, or part‑time work environments.

Exposure to business, sales, or technology coursework.

Comfort using productivity or collaboration tools.

Interest in pursuing an early‑career sales role after graduation.
