
Sales Manager

A company specializing in electrolyzer technology is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Manager to join its European Sales Team.
In this role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for proposal and contract development, order entry management, and deal desk support, working closely with commercial, legal, and technical teams. The position will be responsible for the full sales cycle in a B2B environment involving technical equipment and project-based customer engagements, particularly within the hydrogen and energy sectors.
This is an individual contributor role with DACH scope.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and follow up on sales leads, maintain customer relationships, and support order acquisition and renewal
Provide technical and commercial presentations on products and services to customers
Work with customers and engineering contractors to understand equipment needs, system requirements, and commercial considerations
Prepare tenders, offers, and supporting documentation to assist sales activities
Manage order entry and verification, ensuring accuracy in pricing, discounts, and product details
Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, operations, project management, legal, and finance to support sales and delivery processes
Support proposal and contract development, working with commercial and legal teams
Review RFQs, RFIs, proposals, contracts, and specifications for accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with internal commercial governance processes
Assist in contract negotiation processes, coordinating internal review and approvals
Maintain accurate data in CRM systems and support process improvements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in reviewing commercial and contract-related information
High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams
Desired Background
5-10 years of experience in roles such as sales engineering, equipment sales, equipment purchasing, or related functions.
Experience in industries such as renewable energy, plant engineering, capital equipment, or manufacturing is a plus
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering) or equivalent experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM; CPQ/CLM tools are a plus
