Summary This role leads process optimization and quality initiatives within a global manufacturing environment. This role drives operational excellence through data‑driven improvements, leads cross‑functional projects, and develops CI capability through mentoring and program facilitation (DOE, SPC, Lean Six Sigma). The position applies advanced statistical and problem‑solving methods to deliver measurable improvements in yield, on‑time delivery, and cost performance.

Responsibilities

Lead site readiness for internal and external audits, ensuring strong performance and compliance; manage and continuously improve the Layered Process Audit (LPA) program and enforce 3R/5S standards across the plant floor.

Drive core compliance initiatives and foundational performance metrics, including Revenue Per Employee (RPE) and Shop Floor Code of Ethics participation, leveraging data to support audit and cultural objectives.

Champion the development of a continuous improvement culture by identifying, initiating, and executing shop floor improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, cost savings, and operational efficiency.

Lead and execute high‑impact continuous improvement projects, delivering measurable results aligned with key business objectives such as yield improvement, on‑time delivery (OTD), and cost reduction.

Utilize data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to identify trends, monitor performance metrics, and drive organization‑wide engagement in improvement initiatives.

Lead internal training programs (DOE, SPC, MSA, Lean Six Sigma) and mentor team members, guiding data‑driven projects from initiation through completion.

Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives using tools such as 5S/3R, 5 Whys, 8D, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to support root cause analysis and process optimization.

Communicate project progress, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Provide process engineering support by analyzing manufacturing data, optimizing workflows, reducing cycle time, and preventing quality issues in automated production environments.

Maintain cleanliness at work‑site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

Mechanical Engineering preferred

4+ years of progressive experience in engineering, continuous improvement, and technical project management within a manufacturing environment

Proven track record managing automated assembly processes and leading cross‑functional initiatives

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred/required

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required

Certification or advanced training in Design of Experiments (DOE) required

Skills

Organizational agility and results‑oriented

Proficient in statistical analysis tools (Minitab), including regression, MSA, and process capability

Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI) for reporting and trend analysis

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and automated reporting

Strong leadership, decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
