The Role The Markets & Revenue team is responsible for subscriber origination, revenue generation, and overall market management across both operating and in-development projects.
The Market Manager will oversee a portfolio of operating projects, with a focus on maintaining full subscription levels, optimizing revenue generation, and ensuring efficient execution of subscriber and partner processes.
This role reports to the VP of Markets & Revenue and plays a critical role in maximizing project performance and driving operational excellence across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end process for allocating community solar bill credits and collecting subscriber payments
Maximize project revenue and ensure timely payment collection
Manage and optimize subscription portfolios, including contract structure, customer quality, and revenue performance
Administer third-party Renewable Energy Credit (REC) contracts
Partner & Contract Management
Manage relationships with subscription management partners to ensure performance, compliance, and delivery against contractual obligations
Coordinate closely with external partners to ensure seamless utility and billing operations
Customer & Subscriber Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to maintain fully subscribed projects
Lead replacement customer acquisition efforts to backfill churn
Enhance customer experience through communication strategies and engagement initiatives
Minimize churn through proactive portfolio management
Process & Reporting
Build and implement scalable, repeatable processes (SOPs) for subscriber management and acquisition
Deliver accurate, timely reporting on subscriber and revenue performance metrics
Develop QA/QC processes to ensure data integrity and compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams across development, finance, legal, and partnerships
Support broader go-to-market strategies and market positioning efforts
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in account management, portfolio management, asset management, or similar roles
Experience in renewable energy, finance, real estate, or a related field preferred
Strong contract management experience, including managing third-party partners
Project management experience with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple complex workflows simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data tools (e.g., PowerBI, Python is a plus)
Office-based role (expected in-office presence multiple days per week)
Fast-paced, high-growth environment requiring flexibility and ownership
Occasional travel may be required
