Assistant Project Manager – Social Media Writer
to support a respected organization focused on energy and sustainability initiatives across New York State.
This role is ideal for a creative, organized professional who knows how to turn ideas into engaging digital content, manage multiple priorities, and help maintain a strong, consistent brand presence across social platforms. This is hybrid role requiring some office presence in the Albany, NY area.
What you’ll do:
Create engaging social media content including posts, captions, graphics, reels, and stories
Manage content calendars and scheduling to support ongoing campaigns and initiatives
Adapt messaging for different platforms while maintaining brand voice and communication goals
Monitor trends, audience engagement, and platform updates to help inform content strategy
Support community engagement through comments, messages, and social interactions
Track social media performance and provide insights to strengthen results
Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns, events, and broader communication efforts
Use social media management tools to keep content organized and on schedule
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
Experience creating and managing social media content
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with scheduling, monitoring, or analytics tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite is a plus
