Position fills in as the primary store-level sales person to large accounts such as supermarkets and is responsible for providing service to and growing business in assigned accounts. The role includes ordering products for delivery, generating sales, rotating and stocking products on shelves and displays, in coolers, vending equipment, and in customers' backrooms. Builds displays and sets up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners, and has frequent interaction with store management. This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20–45 pounds per case repeatedly over a 10–12 hour work period. It requires bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving product. Weekend and/or holiday work may be required.

Primary Accountabilities

Grow sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, and customer service in all assigned accounts.

Sell product inventory to standard volumes.

Take inventory and place orders for future delivery.

Solicit new business to increase volume and new package distribution within area boundaries.

Sell and execute promotions, solicit equipment placement, and sell sufficient product inventory.

Utilize point‑of‑purchase materials to stimulate sales.

Generate selling opportunities by maintaining and increasing shelf facings, cleaning shelves, and rotating products.

Provide excellent service to assigned accounts and create/maintain goodwill with all customers.

Merchandise product sections and build displays to stimulate sales.

Complete paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely.

Perform additional duties as assigned by manager (e.g., warehouse support).

Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications

18 years or older.

Must have car or personal transportation to access multi‑store locations within assigned shift.

Valid U.S. driver's license and proof of insurance.

Helpful Experience

Experience with consumer products (various sizes, packages, etc.).

Experience in the beverage industry (segments, types of customers, competitors, trends).

Experience with power equipment (lift jacks, pallet jacks, etc.).

Experience with handheld computers (mobile technology).

Experience managing inventory (current stock, projected sales, ordering/re‑stocking).

Experience in business‑to‑business selling (sales calls, building relationships, handling complaints).

Experience with merchandising (standards, plannograms, product displays, stocking/rotating product, back‑room organization).

Experience managing incorrect orders (solving wrong orders, out‑of‑stock issues).

Experience performing financial and mathematical calculations (profit margins, display sizing).

Experience managing a route (prioritizing stops, scheduling, servicing accounts).

Experience with incremental selling (up‑selling, suggestive selling).

Experience following safety procedures (proper lifting techniques, safety processes).
