Carotek is hiring an
Account Manager
in the Southeast Tennessee / Northern Georgia territory. This is a customer‑facing
outside sales role
for a sales professional who enjoys consultative selling, technical problem‑solving, and building long‑term customer relationships.
You’ll represent industry‑leading manufacturers and sell
mechanical process equipment
including
pumps, filtration, steam products, heat exchangers , and related solutions to engineers, maintenance teams, and plant leadership.
Essential Functions
Grow sales within existing accounts and develop new customers
Call on engineers, technicians, operations leaders and decision‑makers to deliver application‑based solutions
Act as a trusted advisor and technical resource for process equipment
Review specifications and collaborate with Inside Sales to prepare quotations
Plan and execute daily sales calls and customer visits
Maintain CRM activity, forecasts, and territory plans
Build strong relationships with customers and manufacturer partners
Participate in ongoing product and manufacturer training
Experience, Education and Skills
4+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in industrial or process equipment
Experience with pumps, filtration, steam, or similar mechanical products strongly preferred
Technical aptitude and ability to interpret specifications
Proven consultative selling and relationship‑building skills
Associate degree in engineering, technical, or business field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Primarily local travel; occasional overnight travel
