Job Description - Consumer Loan Servicing Processor

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated Consumer Loan Servicing Processor to join their client's team in San Jose, CA. This position is responsible for processing servicing requests and loan maintenance related to consumer loans, including vehicles, lines of credit, personal loans, credit cards, and solar. The role involves handling various tasks such as DMV titles, processing payoff checks, reviewing credit reporting, processing SCRA requests, and managing department mailboxes. The candidate will work directly with management and leadership within Consumer Lending Servicing to ensure proper cross-training on all related consumer lending servicing aspects and functions.

Responsibilities

Processes lien filings through third-party vendors on new secured solar and auto loans; verifies liens have been placed; and follows up on rejected and missing items.

Processes lien releases on auto and solar loans that have been paid off in full.

Receives and processes incoming subordination requests by reviewing documents received; prepares the subordination agreement; packages subordination files for review and signature; scans and packages fully executed subordination agreements for mailing.

Manages department mailboxes; interprets emails based on needs and assigns them to appropriate parties.

Handles communication with members and outside parties to properly and effectively resolve inquiries.

Assists in completing internal service requests within established service level agreements for all consumer loan products.

Keeps up to date on changes to department processes and procedures.

Creates and/or updates department procedures specific to primary job functions.

Maintains effective communication with the consumer loan originations team, strategic lending partners, and front-line staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Full-time; typically 40 hours per week

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (or as directed by management)

Occasional overtime

Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, and periodic weekend hours with advance notice

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Experience

1+ year of experience in a related discipline, including exposure to consumer lending policies and procedures within a financial institution.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to independently evaluate written communication and appropriately delegate as needed.

Ability to sustain performance and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Licensing / Certifications

Notary Public preferred.

Travel

May be required to occasionally attend offsite training, meetings, or events with advance notice. Overnight travel is unlikely.

Typical Working Conditions

Office environment with member interaction via phone.

Equipment Used

Standard office equipment including computer, phone, copier, and related devices.

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

Speaking and listening to interact with vendors and members via phone or in person

Sitting for up to 85% of the workday

Reading computer screens and performing keyboarding tasks for up to 80% of the day

Compensation

Salary Range: $55,000 - $64,000 per year

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
