Pet Sitter Wanted - Parrot Sitter Wanted In San Jose, Ca Rate Negotiable.

I'm LC (aka stega), and I'm in East San Jose, California. I'm looking for a reliable pet sitter with experience with large parrots. This is a unique job and setting: we live on a small ranch in the foothills and I need someone interested in venturing up here for 1-2 hours each morning when I'm traveling: usually for 2-4 weeks. In addition, my partner sometimes travels with me so we are also looking for someone willing to house sit for a week or two. Both my boys prefer women: they can be aggressive with men so if you are a guy, unless you have lots of prior parrot experience, you probably won’t want this gig. The parrot-specific-work involves removing paper cage-liners and bowls from the cages; replacing the paper, cleaning the bowls and then refilling the bowls with food and water. Prior experience with bird care is a great, but you do not have to handle my boys or let them out of their cages in order to do the cleaning/feeding work. They are both super content just to have someone hang out with them for an hour before or after getting their food, so you can sit in a nearby chair, watch videos, read a book, etc, and just occasionally chatter with them. My offered rate is negotiable: obviously the daily visits are more of an hourly thing so they start out at $40/hr, while house sitting we could sort out a flat daily rate: If you have a passion for birds (and not just parrots as our little ranch is a birding hotspot!) and reliable transportation, I would love to hear from you.
