Fundraising Responsibilities

  • Cultivate donors through personal relationships and appeals
  • Maintain records of funds given
  • Send out periodic mail-outs to parents, past and present donors
  • Host donation drives and matching giving weekends throughout the year
  • Host events such as school galas or golf tournaments to raise funds and cultivate relationships
  • Cultivate in‑kind gifts – maintain wish lists from departments, assess value, and thank donors appropriately

Donor Relations Responsibilities

  • Call, write thank‑you notes to, and visit benefactors as appropriate
  • Host events for benefactors
  • Maintain profiles of benefactors for administration
  • Advise the principal on donor relationships

Communication Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing and social media to promote the school
  • Raise awareness of student population and their needs
  • Provide excellent verbal and written communications; possess strong human relations and interpersonal skills
  • Attend staff meetings as needed
  • Communicate openly with staff and collaborate on large projects as required
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns, including messaging, content creation, distribution strategies, and results analysis for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Execute agency communications strategy and marketing plans, including preparation of diocesan e-newsletters and public relations opportunities
  • Produce social media content and engagement strategies, encompassing copywriting, graphic design, and proofreading
  • Write content for the website, blog, social media, and marketing collateral
  • Design and prepare various event‑related marketing materials, including brochures and flyers

  • Support the school’s spiritual mission
  • Abide by Catholic principles in professional and private life
  • Work collaboratively and maintain a positive, friendly, and professional manner with all employees and school families; welcome them to the school community
  • Maintain and respect the privacy of individuals supported
  • Be knowledgeable of school logistics, philosophy, and history
  • Work closely with the school bookkeeper regarding donors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Working knowledge of and strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and a Catholic school; a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church preferred
  • Courtesy toward fellow employees, families, and the public
  • Self‑starter, well organized, and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Collaborative team player; punctuality required at all times; local travel and weekend/overtime work may be required
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Professional bearing, clean and neat personal appearance
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising or a related field
