Job Description
The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry‑level position designed to prepare you for a Store Management role in 18‑24 months. With Sherwin‑Williams’ promote‑from‑within philosophy, you will advance to an Assistant Store Manager position after the initial 8‑week training. The program runs 44 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, and will give you hands‑on experience in operations, client strategy, and market‑share growth by selling to large commercial users such as painting contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers. The training equips you with leadership, customer‑service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations skills, and it presents a clear career trajectory you can shape as you progress.

Responsibilities
- Complete training consistent with the established program
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to recommend effectively
- Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
- Complete store administration tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies
- Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints
- Partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to increase market share
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Must have a bachelor’s degree by the start of the program
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion without unreasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- At least 1 year experience supervising or leading teams
- Team‑oriented work or volunteer experience (e.g., military, extracurriculars)
- Experience selling paint or related products
- Experience using time‑keeping and/or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, preferably Spanish
