Overview

General: Responsibility for planning, organizing and implementation of services for Diagnostic Imaging Services. Responsible for fiscal management, performance improvement activities, and compliance with all relevant policy, procedure and regulation. Manages all aspects of personnel processes. Communicates information effectively. Makes timely decisions and manages change process. Interfaces with all departments as part of the management team.

Specific: Responsible for day-to-day operations of Diagnostic Imaging including all Diagnostic Imaging Satellite facilities. All members of the leadership team who need to use a phone for business purposes must use a personal cell phone.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Responsibility for Revenue and Expenses for Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Coordinate Diagnostic Imaging operations, assuring the accurate flow of all activities related to overall patient care.
  • Improves the safety of our patients through NPSGs. Is knowledgeable of safety concerns and trends for the departments and implements actions to improve.
  • Works to improve the quality of care.
  • Successfully plans, documents, implements, and provides follow-up on operational issues.
  • Project planning is done in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitors exam backlogs and improves patient access through increased throughput or capacity, including screenings, inpatient utilization, and diagnostic exams.
  • Works collaboratively with the physician leadership, team members, and leadership team to meet department goals.
  • Works with team members to assess team members engagement and develops plans to meet the goal of being the Employer of Choice.
  • Interviews and selects individuals for employment, oversees orientation, conducts performance appraisals and performance management to include coaching, disciplining, and terminating team members. Motivates by recognizing, rewarding, and reinforcing positive behavior and exemplary performance.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission, CMS, NRC, FDA/MQSA, etc.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years in a manager role required. Five years progressive management experience in patient care.
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of experience in progressively responsible position in Diagnostic Imaging. Master's degree preferred. CRA preferred.
  • Registry with professional organization.

Credentials

Essential:

  • ARRT-RT - Radiological Tech
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification (American Heart Association)

Education

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
