As we rebuild this practice, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded Doctor to help in the rebuilding of this practice. We are striving to continue a 40 year, well-established practice that was known for its compassion, commitment to quality care, and exceptional client services. We offer a wide range of medical services, supported by in-house laboratory, full and dental x-ray, 6 suite exam rooms with separate cat and dog entrances and more. Already known for its state-of-the‑art treatments and an extremely compassionate team, the hospital provides trusted medical services for the local community.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Medical Director/DVM based in Villa Rica, Georgia. The Medical Director will assist in the hospital operations and help in the strengthening of protocols and procedures, while ensuring high‑quality medical care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, assisting in guiding the veterinary team, contributing to decisions on patient care plans, consulting with veterinary progessionals, and ensuring service excellance and client satisfaction. The indicidual will also contribute to the startegic direction of the practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes and operations success. In exchange, we are offering the selected candidate $130 - $160k/yr including a $25,000.00 advance - plus performance bonus, medical and malpractice insurance, paid time off, and relocation assistance (large on‑site 1 bedroom apartment on second floor available if desired).

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Veterinary Medicine, including clinical diagnostics, surgical procedures, and preventive care
  • Proficiency in Client Communication and Relationship Management
  • Leadership abilities to mentor, guide, and support a veterinary team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to advancements in veterinary medicine
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and active veterinary licensure in Georgia
  • Prior experience in a leadership or medical director role is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
