The Key Account Executive - Strategic Commercial Accounts serves as a strategic business partner to high-value commercial clients, applying deep industry expertise, market insight, and data-driven consulting to drive growth, retention, and long-term client value. This role is accountable for managing and expanding complex, strategic client relationships while shaping benefit strategies that align with clients' organizational, workforce, and financial objectives. The Key Account Executive operates as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, collaborates closely with internal partners to deliver integrated solutions, and guides clients through an evolving healthcare landscape with professionalism and strategic foresight. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and execute comprehensive, data-informed strategic account plans to maximize client value, retention, and product adoption

Serve as a consultative advisor to executive-level client stakeholders by translating healthcare trends, market conditions, and analytics into actionable strategies

Lead and sustain senior-level relationships with employer clients and broker/consultant partners

Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, product, analytics, and service teams to align solutions with client goals

Analyze financial, utilization, and performance data to identify cost drivers, risks, and optimization opportunities

Represent the organization in client meetings, strategic planning sessions, and contract discussions with subject-matter expertise

Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to enhance client experience and business outcomes

The successful candidate is a strategic, results-driven professional with a strong background in healthcare sales and The successful candidate brings a strong background in healthcare and enterprise account management, with a consultative approach to solving complex client challenges. They demonstrate sound business judgment, the ability to influence executive stakeholders, and a track record of delivering measurable results. Collaborative and adaptable, this individual operates effectively in dynamic environments and consistently demonstrates professional curiosity, sound judgment, and a commitment to long-term client success.

Required

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field

7 years of work experience beyond degree

Advanced subjectmatter expertise with the ability to provide strategic guidance and influence internal and external stakeholders in a healthcare sales or account management environment.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

Experience with alternative funding models (e.g., selffunded or levelfunded plans) outside of fully insured arrangements.

Experience supporting large or complex employer clients in a consultative capacity

Experience in consultative strategic planning with employers, brokers, or benefits consultants.

Background in sales, marketing, business strategy, analytics, finance, or related disciplines

Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships

Experience interpreting and presenting financial, utilization, and performance data

Professional designation such as CEBS

Ability to travel regionally as needed

Required Certifications/Licensure

MN State life and health insurance license required; CEBS designation encouraged (or obtain within 90 days of employment).

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary range for this position is $126,000-$216-000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.

In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
