ICON Trophies & Designs is hiring a

Production Designer & Engraving Technician

to join our production team.

This is

not a traditional graphic design role .

This position combines:

hands‑on production

machine operation

You will take customer orders from design → production → finished product.

We produce awards, plaques, signage, apparel, and promotional products for schools, businesses, and organizations across the Metro East region.

What This Role Is NOT

Branding work

Marketing design

Full creative freedom

Responsibilities Artwork & File Preparation:

Create and edit artwork for plaques, awards, and signage.

Prepare files for laser engraving and UV printing.

Layout name lists and production files.

Ensure all files are production-ready before manufacturing.

Production Equipment Operation:

Operate laser engraving machines.

Operate UV flatbed printer.

Prepare materials and fixtures.

Monitor jobs for accuracy and quality.

Production Workflow:

Manage and execute daily production jobs.

Follow structured production processes.

Prioritize work based on due dates.

Coordinate with front office on job status.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products for accuracy.

Verify spelling, layout, and alignment.

Ensure finished products meet company standards.

Qualifications Required:

Experience with CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to follow structured processes.

Ability to manage multiple jobs.

Preferred:

Sign shop or print shop experience.

Engraving or awards production experience.

Experience with production equipment.

Compensation $20 – $24 per hour based on experience.

Work Environment This role is a mix of:

Computer-based design work.

Hands‑on production work.

Machine operation.

You will be on your feet at times and working directly with equipment.
