Performance Responsibilities
Director of Golden Throats, the advanced mixed concert choir. This ensemble performs at ISSMA events and all major concerts as well as performs for the community.
Director of Sound Wave, the advanced mixed show choir and concert choir.
Director of Singsations, the intermediate ensemble and Voices, the beginning choir.
Show choir rehearsals after school several days a week and there are 3 to 5 show choir competitions a year. An invitational has been hosted in the past but would be at the discretion of the new director as it is a huge undertaking.
Oversee parent organization TLVMB which is in need of reorganization.
Oversee finances for the booster and school accounts, set‑up and tear‑down as needed for performances, organize volunteers for multiple events, fundraise and keep track of all student fees.
Oversee accompanists, choreographers and show band directors.
Create a show for the show choir, license and seek out arrangers to write the show.
Instruct arts administration students in things such as creating programs, ticket sales, event planning.
Update and communicate regularly with students and parents via Remind or other platform, social media updates, media presentations and promotions.
Create a culture of respect for the integrity of the arts and work closely with the band director to maintain this integrity of sharing students and respecting each program.
Candidate must be interested in incorporating special needs students into classes and inclusive of ELL students and all language learners.
Most of all create a culture that is a safe place for all students to learn to sing and where they can grow to appreciate all genres of music.
