
Inside Sales Representative (Fuel Fleet Cards)

Overview
The Inside Sales Representative sells fuel management solutions to prospective commercial customers, primarily fleets and trucking businesses. The role is quota-carrying and focused on generating new accounts through outbound prospecting, consultative selling, and pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and acquire new customers for fuel card programs.
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Identify business challenges and uncover fleet fuel management needs using consultative sales questioning.
Present proposals that demonstrate how client solutions reduce fuel costs and improve fleet management.
Handle price objections and competitive comparisons in a competitive fuel card marketplace.
Maintain detailed records of sales activities and pipeline using Salesforce or CRM tools.
Coordinate onboarding and implementation fuel card programs for new customers.
Maintain relationships with new clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Build and manage a pipeline of prospects and existing customers.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in sales.
Understand the trucking relationship
6-12 months+ of sales experience (inside sales, call center, or B2B preferred).
Strong communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
Ability to learn fuel management industry concepts.
Experience using Salesforce, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Desired Skills and Experience
Need to understand the whole trucking relationship
People who want to be the best, but cultivate growth in the process
Trucking experience, could be working for a broker
Net new accounts generation
Compensation & Benefits Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
