
Residential Electrical Foreman

Position Summary
Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of residential multi‑family construction projects and contributes directly to the growth and development of the company. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of electrical crews engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, fixtures, devices, and control equipment, while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and project timelines.
A successful Foreman leads by example, promotes a culture of safety and accountability, and motivates their team to take ownership and pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of assigned electrical crews on multi‑family construction sites in accordance with plans, specifications, and NEC standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate execution of installations.
Provide clear direction and leadership to crew members; maintain effective communication with project supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.
Assess and plan material, equipment, and labor needs; ensure timely delivery of required resources to meet project milestones.
Enforce company and OSHA safety rules; immediately address or report safety hazards and ensure safe work practices at all times.
Monitor work quality and promptly resolve installation issues or discrepancies to minimize rework and delays.
Foster positive working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments, including Division Managers.
Minimum Education None
Minimum Years of Experience 2-4
Required Qualifications
Active State of Virginia Journeyman Electrical License
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman on multi‑family construction projects
Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass all required safety training, background checks, and drug screening
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction electrical drawings
Demonstrates consistent safe work habits and proper use of tools and equipment
Preferred Attributes
Strong leadership and team‑building skills
Excellent problem‑solving ability
Self‑motivated with a high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, climbing ladders, and bending.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
