
Customer Service Representative
City of Fort Lupton, Fort Lupton, CO, United States
This full‑time position runs Monday to Friday 12 pm to 9 pm.
Performs work involving a wide range of general clerical, office, and receptionist duties of a routine nature, under the direction of the Recreation Manager.
The following duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as first point of contact for visitors.
Manages phone activity, including answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
Responds to telephone and in‑person inquiries of a general nature or directs individuals to the appropriate destination.
Accepts payments, prepares receipts, and processes payments using cash‑receipting software; balances money received and completes daily cash reports.
Serves as liaison between the City and the general public and outside agencies.
Provides various clerical support functions such as data entry, typing, filing, maintaining records, processing paperwork, preparing mailings, and proofreading documents as needed.
Enters membership records into designed computer software and maintains membership records and correspondence.
Oversees room reservations.
Maintains equipment check‑out log.
Maintains daily usage reports.
Upholds confidentiality.
Implements and interprets organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Skill, Knowledge And Ability
Knowledge of customer relations techniques.
Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, including a computer, printers, and switchboard‑type phone system.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of basic record keeping.
Knowledge and ability to apply basic mathematic principles.
Ability to positively interact with general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other professional clientele.
Education, Certifications And Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience in clerical or customer service‑related fields preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
CPR or obtainable within six months from date of hire.
First Aid or obtainable within six months from date of hire.
AED or obtainable within six months from date of hire.
Working Environment/Physical Activities While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, squat, talk, hear, and see. Light physical effort is required for handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and, on rare occasions, over 40 pounds. The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
