Description
Sid Grinker Restoration is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to join our growing team. As a Construction Project Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering results.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Ensure all work is completed to our quality standards.
Coordinate with contractors, design professionals, owners, and other stakeholders.
Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements, responsible for jobsite safety, working closely with leadership to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Monitor safety and log findings.
Communicate project updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Manage project budgets and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
Collect SDS sheets from contractors.
Review and redline plans prior to the start of a project.
Verify subcontractor extra work timesheets for accuracy.
Schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
Enter daily reports into PSA.
Monitor quality control and verify that the work is being completed per plans and specifications.
Direct job site meetings with subcontractors.
Schedule and meet with local inspection agencies.
Work with Project Estimator to coordinate overall project schedule.
Work closely with owners and owners’ representatives.
Review shop drawings.
Pre-punch project to minimize the number of punch list items to be reviewed by the owner.
Document final punch list with Project Estimator in PSA and coordinate with subcontractors to complete punch list in a timely fashion.
Assist with call backs and warranty items.
Fill out weekly time and expense sheets.
Responsible for keeping jobsite clean and orderly.
Bring job in on schedule and within budget at the highest quality possible.
Take progress photos of project.
Review contracts and change orders and have a clear understanding of each subcontractor’s scope.
Review all addendums and construction bulletins and ensure that the jobsite has a current set of drawings and specifications.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Experience And/or Training
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Experience with project management software.
Licenses/Certificates Technology/Equipment.
Preferred Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
Experience And/or Training
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management.
Licenses/Certificates
OSHA 10 or 30.
Physical and Mental Demands
Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch, and crawl for long periods of time.
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects from 25–100lbs., necessary to perform job functions.
Ability to work in high and/or tight places.
Maintain balance in all situations.See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, writing implements, office equipment and calculator.
Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment.
Accurate vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites.
Ability to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone.
The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
