Sr Account Executive | Construction Job Type Full Time - Exempt
Manage the renewal process and portfolio of the assigned accounts. Coordinate with the producer and/or client regarding policy coverages and confirm whether any changes are required. Ensure that the company or agency receives the policies within the established timeframe. Interact daily with all P&C insurance carriers to follow up and negotiate service issues, policy renewals, customer claims, and coverage gaps. Analyze risks, market trends, and competitors to propose effective strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that the client receives the policy along with the summary of coverages.
Discuss the prospect/risk with them and establish a work plan. Prepare the policy specifications together with the Producer and request marketing or quotes from the insurance companies.
Identify business opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects.
Support client retention and negotiate to ensure excellent experience.
Assist the Producer throughout the entire new business process.
Review and validate the policy. Index this document in the client’s digital file.
Serve as an Internal Subject Matter Expert and coach to develop internal talent including producers, sales and service officers and account executives.
Education Bachelor's Degree
Property & Casualty Insurance Producer or Registered Representative License, desirable.
Experience At least eight (8) years of related experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
Experience in commercial insurance.
Additional Requirements
Effective oral and written communication skills in Spanish (advanced level) and English (fluent)
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams and Outlook
Strong levels of numeracy and literacy, interpersonal and communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
Extensive knowledge of relevant market conditions for specific class/portfolio.
Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong knowledge of underwriting process and procedures.
Strong knowledge of claims management process and procedures.
Strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.
Region Locations Guaynabo, PR
Work Schedule Hybrid work schedule Monday to Friday- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Flexibility to work non-business hours, holidays, and weekend when needed.
