Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager – New England is responsible for leading sales efforts across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. This role focuses on building relationships with municipalities, law enforcement, and public sector organizations to expand Blue Line’s presence in the region. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales acumen with an understanding of traffic safety, engineering concepts, and Vision Zero principles to advocate for and sell cutting‑edge traffic enforcement solutions.
This position is a customer‑facing, field‑based role that requires extensive travel (50–75%) throughout the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Prospect and cold‑call potential municipal and public sector clients.
Analyze market trends to adjust strategies and maximize competitive positioning.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong, lasting relationships with city planners, engineers, mayors, councils, police chiefs, and public safety officials.
Educate clients on the importance of automated enforcement technology and its alignment with traffic safety goals and Vision Zero initiatives.
Deliver professional demonstrations and presentations on Blue Line products and services.
Conduct a minimum of 8 police agency visits per week and at least 10 calls and 10 emails per day.
Collaboration & Reporting
Partner with Marketing, Inside Sales, Operations, and Agency Ops teams to identify and pursue opportunities.
Use Insightly CRM to track leads, opportunities, and pipeline activities.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, monthly reports, and quarterly presentations to leadership.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and local government meetings to represent Blue Line Solutions.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Traffic Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2+ years of proven sales experience; public sector or traffic safety technology sales highly preferred.
Prior law enforcement or public safety background a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of traffic safety principles, traffic engineering, or Vision Zero initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with data‑driven decision‑making.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Insightly) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project).
Independent, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
Preferred
Experience in traffic enforcement, photo enforcement, or ALPR solutions.
Prior law enforcement or traffic safety program involvement.
Background working in a fast‑growing company environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay: $100,000 annually
Commission: Performance‑based structure tied to regional revenue growth
Car Allowance: $900/month
Phone Allowance: $80/month
Commission Structure
Fixed Photo‑Speed Zone (ASE): $4,000 per enforcement zone ($3,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
Photo‑Speed Trailer: $4,000 per trailer ($3,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
Handheld Photo‑Speed Unit: $3,000 per unit ($2,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
ALPR: 3% commission of first‑year subscription amount on new contracts, 6% on each renewal term after the initial contract.
Commissions paid after issuance of valid citations and meeting required operational thresholds.
Shared commission at 50/50 if assisting another RSM on an account by invitation.
