Role Overview The Regional Sales Manager is responsible and accountable for all sales activities related to refineries and petrochemical plants, working toward achievement of sales budget, goals and objectives within a defined geographic area or account base. This position focuses on direct and/or indirect channels to market with broad revenue and territorial accountability.
Work Environment Remote – Houston, TX (50-70% travel)
Key Responsibilities
Lead all sales activities for refineries and petrochemical plants, achieving budgeted order input and revenue shipment within the assigned region.
Implement strategies and tactics, recommend allocation of resources across channels.
Develop quarterly territory business plans, integrating customer insights to manage inflation and protect the balance sheet.
Directly manage major account sales and development, communicating goals to internal resources.
Create business and sales plans to drive growth, including new product development recommendations.
Acquisition of new accounts and revenue/market share gains at existing accounts.
Identify and create opportunities to deliver profitability and growth, overcoming challenges.
Build relationships with key personnel at every major account.
Work with Finance, Purchasing and Production to ensure strategic pricing within company policies.
Monitor market developments and provide feedback on competitor activities, pricing trends and marketing initiatives.
Provide accurate reports and maintain account data in the company software system.
Travel as required within the defined territory.
Other duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success
5 years of relevant industry experience (Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Manufacturer Representative).
At least 2 years of outside sales experience in manufacturing or distribution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Teamwork: exhibits objectivity, openness to feedback, builds positive team spirit.
Quality focus: accuracy, thoroughness, continuous improvement.

Pay Range $120,000 – $140,000 (base pay determined by skills, experience, qualifications).
Bonus Eligibility Eligible for a variable incentive pay component separate from base salary.
