Job Description The Director of Health Services, RN (DHS) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of care and services provided to our residents living in Assisted Living and Memory Care. They plan, coordinate, and manage the care services in accordance with policies, standards of nursing practices, and state regulations. We are seeking a warm, caring, and professional individual who cares about doing the right thing each day for the residents and staff.
Together, our Health Services team coordinates and manages resident care services in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules and community-based care requirements in alignment with State Board of Nursing standards of practice. Responsibilities
Performs all responsibilities related to RN delegation of nursing tasks
Conducts continuing education and training for health services employees and other employees as necessary
Assists with the initial screening of residents or delegates appropriately
Monitors physician orders/laboratory results and assures correct implementation
Monitors alert charting, especially to ensure appropriate employee response to issues and to determine the need for an RN assessment
Monitors and addresses consulting pharmacy reports
Monitors resident incident reports
Advises health services employees concerning resident health issues
Assesses residents as necessary, addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual issues
Assists in the development of service plans, assuring health service issues, as well as other service issues that potentially impact upon health, are effectively addressed
Attends service plan meetings as necessary
Assures compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to health services
Performs all new resident assessments
Qualifications
Active Oregon RN License
Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
Demonstrates sound judgment and professional maturity
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to adapt and guide teams in a constantly evolving industry
Proficient in computer systems and related software
Experienced in successful employee supervision and management
