
Assistant Camp Director for Summer Day Camp- Seasonal

Camp Cove, part of the Ocean Community YMCA- Naik Family Branch, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Camp Director to help lead a fun, safe, and engaging summer camp experience. This role supports daily operations, supervises staff, and helps ensure high-quality programming for campers.
Location: Mystic, CT
Hours: May-August, Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $21.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Support the Camp Director with daily camp operations
Supervise and coach camp counselors and staff
Help plan and implement activities and special events
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all campers
Assist with communication with families and staff
Qualifications
Must be 21 yrs. of age or older
Experience working with children in a camp, school, or recreation setting
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment
CPR/First Aid certification (YMCA willing to train)
