Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist reviews Affordable Housing applications to ensure eligibility and adherence to current regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid position: remote work is allowed, but the candidate must reside in NC or SC to support travel needs as necessary.

Responsibilities

Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.

Process files based on applicant information and ensure review within 24 hours of receipt.

Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the personnel manual.

Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and implement required modifications.

Attend TDHCA training annually and HCCP training in the first two years, achieving a passing score for HCCP designation.

Participate in all tax‑credit reviews conducted by outside entities.

Travel up to 50% of work time annually for property visits, conferences, training, or other business purposes.

Education & Experience

Strong organizational skills and a detail‑oriented approach.

Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with RealPage OnSite Tax Credit software.

Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) certification is a plus; if not certified, completion of HCCP training within the first two years is required.

Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
