Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Remote Grants & Funder Relationship Manager for a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community-centered programs and sustainable impact. This is a remote role but you must live in the San Francisco Bay Area to attend fundraising events as necessary.

Position Overview The Grants & Funder Relationship Manager will lead the full lifecycle of institutional funding, from identifying opportunities through proposal development, compliance, reporting, and funder stewardship. This role partners closely with development leadership, program teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure funding strategies align with organizational priorities and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, strong writing ability, and the ability to manage complex deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and pursue grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources

Manage the full grant lifecycle including proposal coordination, submission, reporting, and compliance

Develop proposal budgets in partnership with finance and program teams

Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective funders

Maintain accurate documentation, tracking systems, and reporting processes for all grant activity

Contribute to broader fundraising strategy and long-term sustainability planning

Qualifications

Experience managing grants or institutional fundraising within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization

Strong proposal writing and editing skills with the ability to translate program impact into compelling narratives

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex compliance requirements Familiarity with grant budgets, reporting processes, and financial tracking

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM or donor management systems

Compensation And Benefits This position offers an annual salary range of $105,000–$115,000, commensurate with experience.
